Description

Waxing is a semi-permanent hair removal method that extracts hair directly from the root using warm or hard wax. 
How Waxing Works
  • Hair removal from the root: Warm or hot wax is applied to the skin, grips the hair, and is pulled off to remove the follicle. 

  • Types of wax: Hard (hot) wax hardens on its own and is removed without strips, while soft wax requires cloth or paper strips. 

  • Duration: Results typically last between three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth rates. 

Preparation and Tips

  • Hair length: Hair should ideally be about the length of a grain of rice (roughly 2 weeks of growth) before your appointment. 

  • Exfoliation: Gently exfoliate the area 48 hours prior to prevent ingrown hairs and make the process smoother. 

  • Pain management: Taking a mild pain reliever like ibuprofen about 30 minutes before can help reduce discomfort.
