DOES MICRONEEDLE CIT TREATMENTS HURT?

The Microneedle treatment is not a panful procedure, however clients are numbed with a topical anesthetic lotion for 30minutes prior to the treatment to ensure no discomfort.  The treatment takes a total time of 15-20 minutes after the numbing lotion has been removed.

WHICH AREAS CAN BE TREATED:

Microneedling can be used to treat the whole face, neck, decollate, as well used when treating acne scarring, stretchmarks and scars, deep lying pigmentation, and wrinkles. Microneedle is also used to increase skin radiance, increase elasticity, and reduce dull lifeless skin.

Aftercare and downtime

During the first 1-24 hours the skin will look red (like sunburn) and feel warm and tight. A gentle facial cleanser can be used during the first 48 hours after the treatment. Patients should avoid exercise, sauna’s and swimming within the first 24 hours after the treatment. Sun protection should be worn when exposed to UV for long periods of time.  72 hours after the treatment the skin will feel dry and flaky as the dead skin cells of the epidermis are shed.  After 72 hours the skin will look and feel smooth, and glowing.

Are you a candidate for the Microneedle treatment?

Client who suffer from eczema and psoriasis, keloid scars in the treatment area, suffer from diabetes, or use immunosuppressant, they are not candidates for the treatment.  Client who are breastfeeding or are pregnant, can book a nano facial where no numbing is used to protect the mother and child.  Client who use Roaccutane or have active acne in the treatment area, cannot receive the treatment for 6 months after the medication was stopped or once the acne has cleared.
